The porch swing

The porch swing is a great place to sit and relax, by talking with friends, family, reading an interesting book or see what is happening in the neighborhood. Enjoying the scenery of the neighborhood with a gently rocking in the porch swing is enjoyed by many. They are fantastic for building summer memories.
To adjust your porch swing to fit you’ll need the following tools and materials.

Tools and Materials
• Swing Hanging Kit
• Tubular Steel Frame
• Chains
• Swing Seats
• Screw Hooks
• S2peed Drills
• Wood Screws
• saw
• jigsaw
• hammer
• tape measure
• square
• and pencil
The steps
• Step1: measure the area for the swing.
This includes width, which requires enough space as possible. Also one should consider the depth of the seat, and the preference of the swing back. Measure at least 2 ½ feet from the walls, this is for the railings and how the porch will swing. Place hooks at least 1 to 2 inches outward from the swing.
• Step 2- Now you pre-drill the holes to support beam.
This will keep the wood from splitting. After you have secured holes, screw in bolts and attach the chains of the swing to the hooks in the beam. Ensure that all screws are secured into the wood for safety.
• Step 3: Next, drill a hole through the armrest support.
Also drill a hole through the seat frame for the eyebolt. This is where you will join the chain to the swing. Likewise, make a hole through the back frame for another eyebolt for the back chain. Install the eyebolts by using washers and fasten with a wrench.
• Step 4: Adjust chains if it is too low.
If you think the swing is too low, use drill to re-screw bolts or hooks on the arms to get desired height.
Step 5: to test the porch, get assistance from a friend or family member.
Body weight will indeed test your work to see if it is durable and can manage 2 to 3 persons at a time.
Once you followed these steps, you are on your way of adjusting your very own porch swing to fit your size and family. If you want to be creative, you can add cushions of varied colors to that beautiful porch swing. It is that easy. Good pair of cushions makes a vast difference from sitting in a porch swing for minutes or for many hours.
